To establish Dharma on the earth and to save mankind from their daily sufferings, God has taken many forms/births as per the requirement of place and time. This is the historical truth and experience of everyone irrespective of which religion he or she belongs. God has two facets. The first facet is to function as the incharge of Srushti, Sthiti and Laya. Here preservation of Dharma is the sole objective and he does this function without any emotion and as per the rules of nature. The second facet of God is the Sadguru function. Here as “Sadguru”, he saves mankind from the sufferings caused due to their ignorance, daily routine for survival, unfavourable social conditions and inability to come out of the vicious cycle of Life and Death. Here God is an embodiment of Love and Kindness. His duty is to show the mankind, solution for their sufferings and to continuously guide them to live peacefully with harmony and make them follow the path of Nishta and Saboori. Such Sadguru is Shirdi Sai Baba.
An ardent devotee is one, who sees God in everything he does, who always thinks about the greatness of God and teach and spread the importance of God among the fellow human beings. The ardent devotee shall not be after money or fame and beyond any weaknesses and vices. He will always face difficulties for survival, but he is never perturbed and always believes strongly that God definitely takes care of everything. Two such ardent devotees are Late Sri Bapatla Hanumantha Rao Garu, and Late Sri Bapatla Venkata Pardha Saradhy Garu.
Sri Bapatla Hanumantha Rao Garu was born at Bapatla, Guntur (Dt), on 14th Sept, 1902 to Sri Bapatla Verraiah Garu and Smt. Chinna Punnamma Garu. Smt. Chinna Punnamma was proficient in Sanskrit and Telugu and was the first guru to Sri Hanumantha Rao. Under her Guidance, he developed keen interest in ancient scriptures and puranas at very young age. Slowly his knowledge in Sanskrit works grew and he started translating the Scriptures into native Telugu. After he completed his Higher Secondary Education, he completed Specialisation course ‘Ubhaya Bhasha Praveena’ and started his career as Telugu Teacher.
